Established in August 1998, the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) is a Research Institute under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Our research foci are in computing science and AI; large scale complex systems modelling; social and cognitive computing; and computational engineering mechanics, fluidic dynamics, electronics and photonics, materials science and chemistry. These core capabilities enable us to tackle real-world challenges and create solutions for physical and human systems, such as manufacturing, energy, healthcare, transportation and urban systems and more.
