1000minds is an online decision-making system for:- Prioritizing or ranking alternatives or individuals, for one-off or repeated decision-making.- Considering ‘value for money' and allocating resources.- Discovering people's preferences, including conjoint analysis, discrete choice experiments, and marketing research.Invented by Franz Ombler and Paul Hansen, 1000minds grew out of research started in the 1990s at the University of Otago in New Zealand into methods for prioritizing patients for elective surgery. Our research developed into a new approach to the universal problem (in a wide range of applications) of how to combine alternatives' characteristics on multiple criteria in order to rank the alternatives. In other words, 1000minds is a new approach to Multi-Criteria Decision-Making and Conjoint Analysis.1000minds applies our patented method known by the acronym ‘PAPRIKA', which stands for ‘Potentially All Pairwise RanKings of all possible Alternatives'.
