Instrumentation Automation Surveillance & Communication Sector Skill Council is an Autonomous Industry lead Not for Profit Organization under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India. It is promoted by the Industry with the support of Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India and National Skill Development Corporation. IASC SSC role is as follows: Identify and develop Skill Manpower Development Plan for the Instrumentation, Automation, Surveillance and Communication sectors. Develop National Occupation Standards & Qualification Packs (Skill development Courses) in accordance with National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). Certify Skilled Manpower under NSQF Identify & accredit Training Providers & Assessors for the various courses. Plan and facilitate the execution of Training of Trainers along with NSDC and the States. Objective : Create National Occupational Standards and Qualification Packs for Eighty plus Job Roles. Accredit Eight Hundred Skill Development Centers across the country. Train Four Thousand Trainers and Assessors. Certify Fifty Lakh Human Capital as per NSQF in next Ten Years. Empower existing manpower by certification under Recognition of Prior Learning Scheme. Development of robust Human Capital Market Information Systems. Undertake Skill Gap analysis, manpower mapping and research. Create WIN WIN situation for Industry & skilled Employee. Develop Skill Development ecosystem to the extent of Formal Education getting recognition based on their equivalency to Skill Development Courses.
