VAW-VRC Foundation was founded in the mid-2000's to foster awareness of the VAW and VRC Communities and to celebrate their members. The creation of the Museum aboard the USS Midway was the inspiration/impetus to the creation of the VAW-VRC Foundation.Mission: The mission of the VAW/VRC Foundation, Inc., is to support and advocate for the United States Navy Carrier Airborne Early Warning Command and Control and Carrier Onboard Delivery (VAW/VRC) Community by: – Educating the public on the Community's rich history, – Honoring those that have flown, maintained and supported the Community, and – Inspiring future generations to sustain the Community's legacy of excellence.Vision: To sustain the VAW/VRC Community's relevance and prosperity through establishing the VAW/VRC Foundation, Inc., as the premier historical archive, social and professional network, and champion, by uniting active duty and veterans and inspiring future generations.
