These older reservoirs were never swept of hydrocarbons which resulted in poorer recovery rates and net loss of revenue to both the operator and the Government. After many years of abandonment these undrained resources have migrated and established new Gas Water contact levels and based on our observations significant pressure recovery.With high commodity prices and a forecasted increase in demand then the Gulf of Mexico in both the onshore and offshore regions remains one of the world's most attractive exploration areas for the smaller independent companies such as Magellan and we are committed to maximize returns for our investors and partners.
