Forestry Science and Technology Institute (formerly known as Bangladesh Forest College), Chittagong is the one and only government institution of Bangladesh which provides 4-years Diploma in Forestry. It was established in 1994 with the help of World Bank and UNDP (The United Nations Development Programme) under Bangladesh Forest Department (BFD). The institute is affiliated with Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). The institute is administered by an officer in the rank of Deputy Conservator of Forest (DCF), who is designated as Director of the institute. It has been contributing to the forestry sector of the country by creating qualified Forester for better management of the forests.
