The Disabled BusinessPersons Association (DBA) is the nation's leading authorities on the self-employment of people with disabilities, founded in 1985 The DBA helps individuals with disabilities acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully participate and compete in the work force, informs and educates business, trades, healthcare, government, the general public, and the disabled community about the contributions the disabled have made and can continue to make in the workplace and what the DBA can do to help. The DBA is dedicated to providing educational programs and assistance to advance rehabilitation, increase the participation by the enterprising disabled in the workplace, and enhance the competitive performance in the (able-bodied) world of business by entrepreneurs with disabilities.
