At Impact, our vision is to provide a service that not only benefits society but also makes an impact. The number of deaths due to cell phone usage in a car is rising and is becoming more prevalent in today's society. Statistics show that there are over 1.6 million accidents a year due to the result of texting and driving, and is becoming one of the nations top killers. Many organizations have implemented campaigns to stop texting and driving, some states have even created laws banning the use of texting while driving, and our plan is to take this one step further with our application that can be installed into a cell phone device to prevent the use of texting or streaming the internet while in a vehicle that's traveling at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
