Easton Sod Farms first commercial job was at the Tulsa International Airport and the sod for the project was first harvested out of a cow pasture. Junior was a previous Alfalfa farmer, and slowly made the transition to sod farming. The Tulsa sod farm started harvesting several varieties of grass such as Zoysia grass, Buffalo grass, Bermuda grass, and Patriot grass. Easton Sod works hand in hand with the Oklahoma State Turfgrass program and the turf scientists at Oklahoma State University have created several certified turfgrasses that Easton Sod Farms harvests today. The varieties include Patriot, Northbridge and Latitude 36 Bermuda grass. Easton Sod Farms, Inc. is headquartered in Bixby, Oklahoma. The company now has 4 commercial stores and over 1,500 acres of farmland to date.
