Tyler earned his Bachelor of Arts from Fort Lewis College, in Durango, Colorado. He studied Sociology and Human Services with a focus in criminology. While in college, Tyler worked for Padilla Law, P.C., as a part time paralegal and administrative assistant. After graduating from Fort Lewis College, Tyler moved to Denver and became a Court Judicial Assistant with Denver District Court in the Criminal Unit. At this position, Tyler was able to observe the inner workings of the criminal justice system. Tyler earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. While in law school, Tyler was a member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association and the Children's Legal Advocacy Group. In his final year, Tyler interned with Kilpatrick Law where he provided legal research and support to the founding attorney.After graduating from law school, Tyler became a Deputy State Public Defender in the Douglas Trial Office. Tyler provided representation for individuals accused of misdemeanor criminal charges including DUI, assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief, and child abuse.Tyler provides representation for the best interests of children in the 2nd Judicial District as Guardian Ad Litem. Tyler grew up in Massachusetts and has resided in Colorado since 2011.
