Bhagwan Mahaveer Memorial Jain Trust, Bengaluru was established in 1975 with the objective of serving the society. With this aim in view, the foundation stone of Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bengaluru was laid on 23rd May 1976 by His Excellency Late Sri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh. The Hospital was inaugurated on 9th April 1990, by Sri Veerendra Patil, the then Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka. It has grown to a 230 beds reputed tertiary referral hospital with modern facilities and all super specialities. The Hospital has further expanded in 2015, to a total of 500 beds, with the establishment of a new block at the same premises at Vasanthnagar, with an additional 270 beds. In addition, another hospital is being established at Girinagar with 100 beds and shall be operational by the end of 2015. This shall be a General Speciality Hospital.
