10 for Humanity™ is a for-profit company that will develop 10 new high-tech products to deter acts of violence globally by 10% in 10 years. Our first product, currently in development, is a wearable sensor (embedded in an innocuous pin or tie tack) that detects extreme stress in the voice to alert the wearer when she is in potential danger. If the user says the word Help when prompted, the Bluetooth device will summon the police via the users cell phone to her GPS location, and begin recording events (audio and video), which can deter criminals and/or help identify them. This product will save lives and prevent sexual assaults and other crimes. Other, less comprehensive, products on the market require the user to have cell phone in hand to summon help; our device does it all automatically with one simple word. Recorded data is stored in the cloud for retrieval when needed or may link to monitored serviced for additional protection.
