WHO IS BEHIND 1031 MEALS?1031 Meals is the product of husband and wife team, Ben and Erin Akey. Erin is a certified nutritionist and Kid's Nutrition Specialist whose passion is to educate her community on what real food is as well as on the dangers of processed fake food. Through speaking opportunities in local schools and churches she has been able to help others make healthy lifestyle changes. So many that she has encountered or coached have asked for her help with the challenge of cooking and shopping in a nutritionally sound way. Partnering with her husband Ben, a certified Personal Fitness Chef, they felt led to start 1031 Meals in the Spring of 2018. Not simply as a side business but as a food and health ministry. 1031 Meal's nutrition philosophy is inspired by scripture, choosing foods from nature created by God, and from the wisdom of doctors like Dr Mark Hyman and Dr. Robert Lustig. Erin is a strong supporter of the values of the Nutrition Coalition and their mission to educate on and change food policy in America.
