In July of 2017, Joe gave the island what it really craved, a true Oyster Bar! In an intimate space located just off Main Street in downtown Edgartown, Joe had a vision. After lots of hard work and of course countless Wash Ashore beers, Joe created 19 Raw Oyster Bar. When you step inside, you will be met with an authentic, fresh, and casual vibe. From reclaimed wood, to industrial accents and Edison lightbulbs, it is warm and welcoming. The front and side patios are perfect for enjoying the summer weather while having a wide selection of New England oysters and hand-crafted cocktails. The menu doesn't stop at oysters though, 19 Raw offers items to please any palate. From fresh salads to a hearty filet, it will appease most anyone's hunger needs. Swing on by and say hi. While you may be lucky enough to catch his gentle giant, Maya Mae (a 150 lb Neapolitan mastiff), you will likely find Joe cooking up a storm…and always smiling.
