The 1M Mentoring Foundation was founded by Jonathan Catherman, bestselling author, senior education consultant, and award-winning cultural strategist. Jonathan has worked in public and private education for 24 years developing and delivering effective leadership models and instructional processes. For his advocacy and success in developing culturally relevant youth mentoring resources, Jonathan was awarded the Martin Luther King Drum Major for Service Award and 2016 President's Volunteer Service Award. Dr. Ohlson conducts research and instructs on the effectiveness of K-20 mentoring. For his outstanding service to youth Dr. Ohlson was honored with the National Jefferson Awards for Community Service.Longtime friends and colleagues Catherman and Dr. Ohlson work to align mentoring and instructional processes with research and proven strategies relevant to needs in youth development, education, athletics, workforce preparedness, and community engagement.
