Government Administration - Mobile, Alabama, United States
The 2013 - 2015 Executive Branch of the Student Government Association of Spring Hill College assumed and exercised the fullest powers and responsibilities of student self-governance at our Catholic, Jesuit institution. By virtue of its constitutional authority as the sole legitimate voice of the united student body, the Executive aggressively pursued the promotion and defense of the student welfare. Faithful to its founding documents, the Executive engaged students, their legislators, and College officials to facilitate clear and continuous exchanges of ideas. By doing so, it successfully charted a path forward towards improving life on campus, and beyond it, for all students regardless of race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, physical impairment, national/ethnic origin, or age. Throughout its tenure, the Executive's success and effectiveness was rewarded by the student body, which placed its trust in the members of the Executive through several democratic exercises during two, unprecedented terms in office.2013 – 2015 Executive BranchPresident – Ricardo Pita MacedoVice President – Mary Catherine McKinley / Matthew KellerAttorney General – Astrid Torres / Patrick LamekaSecretary of the Treasury – Matthew Keller / Mary Catherine McKinleySecretary of Campus Life – Taylor Hardenstein / Conner BuecheSecretary of the Press – Conner Bueche / Diego JuncadellaSecretary of the Interior – Patrick Lameka / Astrid Torres
