24HR Records Details
24HR Records is an ongoing series that handpicks a team of musicians, locks them in a studio, and asks them to write and record three complete songs in twenty four hours. This is not a project for bands or regular collaborators. We're looking to foster artistic relationships that don't yet exist and likely never would. Our artists enter the studio empty-handed with only the ideas in their heads. There is no room for egos, and less for revision. We capture whatever our artists have to give in twenty four hours, no more, no less.You could call it a human mashup, or maybe an impromtu band that exists only for a day. It is a collison of talent, stress, and creative freedom without any rules or guidelines, only a time constraint. Any and all ideas are welcomed no matter how absurd. The best survive creating music that is fresh and unique, combining the talents of each individual musician with the result of their fatigue. We haven't set out to create a record label, but to discover new avenues for artists to collaborate and capture the process on record, photograph, and film.Enjoy.
