Mental Health Care - Parker, Colorado, United States
Our program begins where the residential substance abuse treatment program ends. The goal of the 29:11 program is to extend to the individual the support they need to re-enter society as functional and pro-social members of the community. We also extend support and services to family members, of loved ones receiving treatment, to equip them with the needed skills to navigate their loved one coming home. The program is not specifically for those coming out of residential treatment, an individual, couple, or family can also enroll into services for mental health counseling, outpatient addiction services, leadership development courses, or something more like one on one coaching. Our program is a unique combination of continued substance abuse counselling combined with life coaching that give the individual an opportunity to reintegrate into the community with the best possible chance for sustained recovery and a quality of life. Our team of addiction/mental health and coaching/leadership professionals have years of experience in residential and outpatient settings and an extensive knowledge of addiction treatment and methodology. Our primary method of service delivery is through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning. Horses interacting with humans creates a powerful experience that will help you develop emotional intelligence and self-awareness, promote reconciliation, overcome fear, open up honest communication, allow forgiveness and acceptance, set strong boundaries and develop resiliency. Horses are able to respond to our emotions and behaviors in a way that allows you to see your authentic self. This is a powerful and motivating learning experience because you are fully engaged and the horse provides instantaneous feedback that the therapist and horse specialist can quickly interact with, giving the individual an opportunity for self-discovery and ultimately sustained healthy change.
