Second Chance is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with an extensive network of local volunteer Veterinary and community professionals passionate about rescuing hard to adopt pets. We specialize in sick and injured pets, geriatric pets and those who have simply run out of time. We actively seek to support local shelters by removing long term resident pets before they are killed. Through networking, on-call foster homes are found to harbor these animals until they find permanent homes. The animals are kept in medical foster care and are closely monitored throughout their recovery to ensure optimum health prior to adoption. This incredible service provides so many animals with a second chance and a new leash on life.
