We do this by taking students from different disciplines (computer science, business, engineering, design, etc.) and guiding them through the early stages of starting a technology company. We rent work space for an entire weekend, invite 40 students from a wide range of backgrounds, cater food, drinks, snacks, and of course, tons of coffee and Red Bull. Over this intense weekend, participants in 3DS events brainstorm ideas, conduct market validation, devise business models, build prototypes, and pitch to investors and successful entrepreneurs. The result is an experience that inspires innovation by requiring participants to actually build and launch companies.
