Since 305 Cafecito's launch of 305 DAY ® in 2014, the concept of celebrating March 5th (3/05) has become synonymous with South Florida and our shared community pride. March 5th has become a viral social media trend that celebrates 305 DAY as an unofficial holiday honoring Miami. 305 Cafecito launched 305 DAY with a small-scale "ventanita" event at Versailles on Calle Ocho. Over the years, the event has evolved into a large-scale block party and small business initiative. Now in 2021, the 8th Annual 305 DAY continues to celebrate our shared 305 pride and the unique quirks that make the Magic City what it is today. 305 DAY aims to unite the community through events, small business promotions, and civic engagement all while celebrating our culture. 305 DAY has partnered with brands such as Nespresso, Starbucks, Pernod Ricard, Pepsi, Cafe La Llave, T-Mobile, Sprint and Toyota — providing thousands of dollars in free community events and beautification projects. In 2013, the City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado presented 305 Cafecito with a proclamation honoring 3:05 p.m. as the city's official coffee break — making Miami the only city in the United States with an official coffee time. In 2019, 305 DAY received a proclamation from the City of Miami. In 2020, 305 DAY received a proclamation from Miami-Dade County. Both on March 5th — of course. 305 DAY ® is a registered trademark.
