5 Alarm Fire Apparatus, Inc began its operations in March of 1992 when five men came together and began a company solely to service, repair, & refurbish fire apparatus. These five individuals brought with them, over 30 years of firefighting experience and over 9 years of fire apparatus construction experience. 5 Alarm opened its doors as a maintenance facility in Houma, Louisiana and they began performing repairs to fire apparatus. The company immediately expanded its operations to include maintenance contracts on Avon-ISI Air Packs, Bauer Breathing Air Compressors, Mako Air Compressors, & Amkus Rescue Tools in addition to its existing contracts on various fire apparatus. 5 Alarm also installed a fire pump site & began performing pump tests at their facility. The company then began taking on distributorships for lines of firefighting equipment. In addition to refurbishing fire apparatus, 5 Alarm began fabricating and manufacturing their own apparatus on April 5th, 1995. The company has built various apparatus from brush units to custom pumpers. In 2009, 5 Alarm Fire Apparatus became an official Sutphen Dealer. Under the current leadership of founding owners: David Daigle, President; Russell Pierce, Vice-President; & Elmo Falgout, Secretary/Treasurer; 5 Alarm Fire Apparatus, Inc. continues to provide firefighting and rescue supplies, equipment, & apparatus to fire departments, industries, & governmental divisions all over the country.
