5x5y Partners works to improve the predictability of our Clients' business results, enhance peace of mind for CEOs and Key Executives, and support and make manageable a massive acceleration in enterprise growth rates. We accomplish this by applying the lessons learned from scaling our own businesses and working with hundreds of others to obliterate the obstacles to rapid and orderly growth.The founding partners of 5x5y scaled their previous company from a startup to a 300 person consultancy in seven and half years, with clients ranging from venture or bootstrap financed startups to the largest companies on the planet. We saw many of the same issues across multiple industries and companies of all sizes. Among middle market companies specifically, we saw that the advantages of nimbleness and a bias for action were often offset by shortages of organizational bandwidth, lack of time and process around planning, and an overdependence on the CEO, impeding their ability to grow OR making that growth unsustainable or chaotic. What we did not see were consulting firms that could both develop and implement solutions to these issues in a way that worked for middle market companies. So we created one.
