Our mission is to make the world a kinder more connected place, one conversation at a time.A Kind Voice, Inc is a small non-profit organization based out of Georgia and started in November of 2012. We are a hybrid between a peer counseling hotline and a radio call-in show. In a world where it is easy to feel a bit isolated, we have created a call-in line, where caller's can share their thoughts sports, news/politics, books, movies, big ideas and personal situations. The call-in line is manned by volunteers.The menu of casual topics we offer lowers the barrier for people to call in, as it is far easier to discuss the challenges faced by a character in a book or your favorite sports team then it is to discuss your own situation. These conversations can be a jumping off point to other issues, however they don't have to be as just having a good conversation with a kind voice can make a caller feel less isolated and more connected. We live upstream from crisis management, as our purpose is to reduce the anxiety caused by isolation, by providing a way for people to connect, before anxiety reaches the crisis level.The video on the left is used to train our volunteers and provides a good overview of our program. The video on the right is longer and explains the details about our program, including some pretty cool music. However, the best way to understand our concept is to experience it.
