Mental Health Care - Los Angeles, California, United States
Becoming a productive member of society is a goal that many individuals who are working through substance abuse or mental health issues have for themselves. After successfully completing treatment, it is common to have a strong desire to belong to be functional in a community. We believe the first step to achieving this goal is to help you build a mindset that will be your compass once you begin your post-treatment life. Depending on your circumstances, a peer recovery coach or mental health companion can provide additional support and guidance as you move forward in the next chapter of your life. Our clients include both males and females who are adolescents, teens, or adults. Sometimes changes need to be made in the family dynamic to help the client in their recovery. We not only serve individual clients but, when appropriate, their families as well. We make a difference in the community with our work in high schools, universities, and hospitals. In addition to providing you with a peer recovery coach or mental health companion, we are proud to offer consulting at treatment facilities. At these locations, we provide a variety of services. We work with adolescents, teens, adults, males, and females. Not only do we work with individuals, but we work with their families as well to help change the family dynamic. We also work with high schools, universities, and hospitals. Lastly, we provide consulting services to treatment facilities. 1) Facilitate Groups - CBT, 12 Step (AA or NA), Life Skills, Resume Building, Relapse Prevention, Coping Skills, and Psychoeducation. 2) Discharging - Through our vast relationship with treatment centers locally and abroad we can help facilities with proper placement of discharging clients. 3) Aftercare & Alumni Programming - Through the services provided with ALAR we can provide short term and long term aftercare services. As well as being able to provide facilities with adequate data to create and sustain alumni programming.
