The www.alightinside.org website is a platform for authors with Mental Health diagnoses to present works of fiction, poetry compilations, Illustrations, graphic novels, and biography about mental llness. The aim of the organization is to compile a virtual library of works, records of mental illness to serve several purposes. Primarily, we wish to demystify and destigmatize diagnoses for individuals living with mental illness. Also, one hopes to be a resource for future researchers of the social sciences in creating new approaches on the baffling nature of psychiatric disorder.
