A Lot Stronger Together aims to fight ALS together! The University of Michigan, a world leader in research and one of few of the nation's public universities funding research for this disease, has a clinic on campus dedicated to advancing treatment and providing care to ALS patients. Our student-run organization is committed to supporting our University's efforts and donates all funds raised to support the University's Comprehensive ALS Clinic.Our short-term goal is to raise awareness in our internal community by having students understand the implications of the disease beyond participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We will do this by holding fundraising events throughout the semester that engages the student body to learn more about what ALS is and how we as students can contribute to the ALS community. In the long term, we hope to influence young adults across the nation at other universities to take action to find a cure for this underfunded research initiative.
