A Rocha is a global network of organizations committed to combatting biodiversity loss via scientific research, environmental education, and community-based conservation initiatives. It has been involved in environmental conservation since 1983, with programmes that are cross-cultural in nature and encourage a community emphasis through residential field study centres, site-based projects, and advocacy. A Rocha India, established in 2003, is an independent body of the A Rocha network, which spans six continents and more than 20 countries. The A Rocha India Field Study Centre, located in the heart of the community, has been effective in fostering a sense of urgency for environmental conservation in a vast number of people via various events organized at the centre. As a result of these activities, the organization has begun to address habitat and wildlife management challenges through environmental education, conservation science, and community engagement. As part of its mission, A Rocha India strives to investigate, improve, and address habitat issues, with a focus on identifying grassroots issues, capacity building, participatory techniques, and tangible assessments. This is being achieved through research concepts while also empowering communities to enhance their well-being and livelihoods through outreach, awareness, and policy change.
