Media Production - , New York, United States
A Silence Production began in 2002 better known as Silence Magazine, an online music publication. Over the years Silence adopted many different mediums and was well ahead of the convergence curve. In 2004-2005 violent hurricanes destroyed their current hosting & domain holder's head-quarters resulting in a loss of everything that Silence had built to date. In 2006 founder Dustin Reid teamed up with Ryan Feerer to revamp Silence by starting up a media collective group and record label with the imprint of Murkville Music. The label has five releases under it's belt with four more already in production. One of the releases in 2008 will include the Murkville soundtrack titled, Cooyamintad Vol. 1, of which has contributing artists Page France, Peter and the Wolf, Anathallo and many others have written original songs based on a book that co-founder Ryan Feerer along with Silence partner Andy Smith have written and illustrated about a mystical world called Thy Old Murkville Forest. A Silence Production acts as a record label, booking agent, distributor, management, film production, artist development & graphic design firm. We are a media creator as well as a media outlet. Most importantly we have a business motto of art & community first. We see to it that good art prevails. There are a vast array of other projects that A Silence Production have been involved with. Some of the more notable endvours that we are proud of include: 24fps (frames per second) International Film Festival at the Historic Paramount Theater in Abilene, the Heartbeat Campaign (Aids Awarness Non-Profit Organization) & Monks (music venue in Abilene, Texas).
