We rescue pets that have lost their homes and end up on the streets of NYC or in the city's kill shelters. A domesticated animal living outside is not safe and deserves the warmth and comfort of a permanent home. We initially place them in foster homes or in adoption centers while they wait to find loving adoptive homes. While we don't believe in anthropomorphizing animals, we do believe that they are capable of experiencing grief, loss and depression when abandoned.
