ln 2018, the African continent had a population of 1.2 billion people, or almost 16% of the world's population ; this figure is expected to double by 2050. Unfortunately, the continent's development is too weak and uneven. However, one of the essential points for the development of a country is energy. Despite the efforts of politicians, every year 10 million more Africans do not have access to energy. Today, 650 million Africans are without electricity, and this figure will double by 2025! This is not only a social but also an economic and political emergency because, basically, there is no life without light. Energy allows access to water, education, health, agriculture, business development... In short, to a Future. However, there is no lack of resources on this land that sheltered the cradle of humanity. We are 3 students affected by the too slow and essential electrification of a territory with a thousand resources. Students in renewable energies, energy, we have plenty of it! This is why, through the A3 Africa, Access, Future project, we have decided to study the electrification of this continent on several scales: political, industrial and local. The local aspect, in partnership with Electriciens Sans Frontières and Talents4Future, will enable us to have a real impact on the populations and to carry out concrete actions.
