We are into Sales, installation and Maintenance of solar system, Nationwide.The company, which serves small business and start-ups by providing affordable co-working spaces for them, had been spending the biggest part of its profit on power. Apart from public power source, they had to get a dedicated transformer from PHCN, as well as fuel two generators in order to charge their inverter. As if these were not enough, they had to get an additional smaller inverter and a UPS specifically for their internet use. Thus, basically they had to utilize at least four alternative power sources, all because the public power could not be relied uponNigeria's Government Bans Importation of Generators.The Federal Government recently announced a ban on the importation of mini-electricity generating sets, otherwise known as ‘I better pass my neighbor.These mini generators are the cheapest and most popular in the country and are preferred for their affordability, low cost of maintenance and minimal fuel consumption.These mini generators have now been banned from importation due to the health risks it poses, especially as they are often used in confined spaces. These generators produce carbon monoxide and other hydrocarbon emissions which pose danger to the generator owners through inhalation of its gaseous fumes often leading to cancer or in worse cases - death.
