Aakha Biologics is a new kind of biotech company that values efficiency in the drug discovery process to more rapidly bring high quality therapeutics to patients. Aakha is developing biologics that boost the body's immuno surveillance against tumors and is harnessing multiple advanced antibody discovery platforms to empower its scientists to advance drug candidates from concept to IND-enabling studies. It is led by founder and CEO Hemanta Baruah, a proven drug discoverer with an approved biologic and several additional candidates currently in clinical trials. Aakha was created through a collaborative partnership model with Alloy Therapeutics' affiliated venture studio 82VS, which leverages access to Alloy's ATX-Gx™ transgenic mouse, suite of antibody discovery platforms, and discovery services.
