Aashayein Foundation is a volunteer-driven NGO registered with Government of Karnataka, headquartered in Bangalore which aims to empower children from economically weaker sections of society by providing monetary and non-monetary support in the field of education. AF full-fledged operations extends across 3 cities in India at Bangalore (HQ), Hyderabad and Mysore with more than 2500 registered members,majority of them being software professionals from the IT & ITES organizations.Major Projects:Bachche Mann Ke Sachche: The objective of this project is to identify children who do not go to schools, provide them with educational opportunities and ensure their education until standard 10th. Pustaka Abhiyana: To ensure that every child has access to basic schooling necessities and support schools with essential infrastructure to sustain education. Focus on Govt. schools, primarily based in rural areas.Shikshana AbhiyanaThe objective of this project is to provide quality education to the students in various governments and government aided schools, thereby bridging the knowledge gap between the public and private schools.As a pert of the program, we teach English and Communication skills at Govt. Schools and organize educational field trips, Art Mela, Sports Day and Summer Camp.Sunday Breakfast Serving:This drive was our first step towards serving underprivileged children which was extended to old age homes later.This activity gives us an opportunity to interact with kids and senior citizens and spend quality time with them.
