AAT is an Italian spin-off created to promote innovation and research on functional foods and nutraceuticals by supplying highly qualified analytical services focused on molecular monitoring of human and animal microflora.AAT was founded in 2005 in reply to the growing interest in functional foods and to offer skilled support to food and pharmaceutical companies having strong analytical and project planning needs.AAT offers customers twenty years experience in scientific validation of probiotics, and supports them, by means of its scientific division, in the presentation of application dossiers for health claims made on food.Our mission statement is "Promoting science-based approaches in probiotic innovation".We are aimed to supply our customers with highly qualified analytical services in order to develop products with strong scientific background.The key activities of the company can be summarized in three main pillars: - Identification, characterization and viability evaluation of probiotic bacteria in food and food supplements by test methods accredited under the norm ISO 17025 for these specific matrices; - Analytical support to clinical trials on pre- and probiotics and drugs, studying the composition and fluctuations of human and animal microbiota in health and disease by DNA-based approach; - R&D services to food and pharma customers on probiotics, prebiotics, nutraceuticals and skinbiotics.
