Artist's Statement: I have very fond memories as a child exploring nature with family members and on my own, so it is fitting to say that my creations are nature inspired from the present and distant memory. Somehow the materials and objects revive that sense of nostalgic internal peace and that which I am passionate about. I hope to capture my visceral experiences and pass it on to others for their fulfillment. I enjoy the freedom to use all types of mediums to construct my art and my work consists of very simple subject matter but the process to create each representation is very complex and meticulous. Similarly, nature can be very simple to the naked eye yet, there are many things underlying that are required for something to be created and complete its cycle successfully. I see my work as a self-portrait and how life affects me within my journey, similar to how nature collides and forms alliances with its self.
