The Academic Lyceum of WIUT is a comprehensive two-year (three-year in 2008-2019) public high school. The Lyceum was established on December 9, 2008. Currently, the Lyceum enrolls 560 students in levels 1-3 (grades 10-12).The curriculum in AL of WIUT is specialized in the "Exact Sciences 2" program. It introduces students to advanced curriculum in STEM (calculus, geometry, algebra, physics, IT) and advanced curriculum in social sciences (such as economics and history).While other educational institutions in Uzbekistan establish basic high-school curriculum, AL of WIUT features the advanced curriculum with an in-depth study of subjects. This curriculum enables high-achieving students to excel in scholastic olympiads as well as in sports on both national and international levels.The process of admissions to AL of WIUT is highly selective and is based on the entrance examination (materials provided by the University of Westminster, UK). Applicants come from all regions of Uzbekistan, making AL of WIUT the most competitive secondary education institution of Uzbekistan.
