Accelerate West Central Indiana is a regional economic development organization serving Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties. The area is served by Interstates 70 and 74, U.S. Highways and State Roads, and CSX Transportation and Indiana Rail Road have lines serving this portion of the state. The Terre Haute International Airport which has the fourth longest runway in the state, at 9,020 feet, which can accommodate most any size aircraft including a 747. The Indianapolis International Airport is approximately 60 miles from most points in West Central Indiana.
