We'll take bonkers over bankers.For Jodie Dean, bookkeeping wasn't the original plan. After starting a physical education degree and needing to take a quick ‘oh-crap-what-have-I-done' sabbatical as an office manager, Jodie found her groove. She took an accounting course, became the financial controller of that same business, and then stepped it up a gear in some of the biggest banks in London. AccountArts is a balancing act between a love of numbers and a love of design… and a clear preference for hanging out with creatives instead of bankers.* It's no real secret that creative types struggle more than others with managing cash flow, their tax liabilities and, well, the boring stuff. We've all seen how financial stress can impact creative output. So our goal is take the strain off the super-talented people we see building businesses we admire, but who just need that extra support to make it a livelihood. And if you're ever annoyed about how much bankers are paid, just remember they have to spend all day with other bankers. Punishment enough.* It's fine. Jodie is married to a banker and has given us strict instruction to take the piss out of bankers as often as possible.
