The Accounting Society at McIntire is an organization for accounting and finance students and professionals. The Accounting Society was the result of a name change of Beta Alpha Psi in Spring 2015 and it is unique to the McIntire School of Commerce. Among its objectives, the Accounting Society at McIntire recognizes scholastic and professional excellence in the field of accounting, finance, and information technology. It provides a forum in which students interested in business may interact with, learn more about, and create networks with working professionals. The Accounting Society promotes leadership, integrity, continuous learning, and service through participation in a variety of rewarding professional, social, and community activities. It recognizes individuals whose time and efforts contribute significantly to promoting the fraternity and serve the student body, the University, and the greater community.The Accounting Society at McIntire recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the field of financial information and sponsors programs that assist in the development of students interested in Accounting and Finance. The Accounting Society at McIntire is open to pre-Commerce, Commerce, M.S. in Commerce, and M.S. in Accounting students.
