Tens of thousands of children are achieving their full learning potential—by virtue of early intervention, paramedical care and emotional therapy provided by specialists at Achiya. Achiya was established in 1993 with the mission of responding to learning challenges not adequately addressed in mainstream schools. Over the years, Achiya has expanded its scope and outreach —and is making a transformative difference in the lives of children, parents and educators.• Each year, Achiya's child development and learning centers in Bnei Brak and Elad provide paramedical therapy and remedial teaching to help children achieve their full learning potential and keep pace with their peers. • Achiya has developed path-breaking programs to enrich learning and guide early identification of possible deficits in preschools throughout Israel, with a focus on Israel's socio-economic and geographic peripheries. • Achiya has created 19 teacher training centers throughout Israel. Over 6,500 graduates have gained the knowledge, skills and tools to enrich learning and guide parents in identifying and seeking treatment for learning deficits. Achiya's teacher training programs include collaborations with Israeli colleges and universities.Achiya programs are implemented in schools throughout Israel, with a focus on the country's socio-economic and geographic peripheries. Beyond Israel, Jewish educators across the globe call upon Achiya for guidance to address learning challenges and teaching strategies in their community schools.
