ACI Hecker consults in the field of Occupational, Health & Safety to assist management in OHS Compliance to satisfy regulators and third parties that may want assurance that the organisation has safe systems of work. The Victorian OHS Act* says that expert assistance must be at hand, however, smaller organisations cannot afford to have a permanent OHS Manager on the payroll. ACI Hecker fills this gap by assisting management develop safe systems of work through development and implementation of policies and procedures that suit the organisation and that can be updated by themselves on an ongoing basis.*S23(2)(B) OHS Act 2004 says…. employ or engage persons who are suitably qualified in relation to occupational health and safety to provide advice to the employer concerning the health and safety of employees of the employer. Penalty: 60 penalty units for a natural person or 300 penalty units for a body corporate.Penalty units were approx. $129 so $7,740 for a Natural Person and $38,700 for a Body Corporate.
