Act 5 LLC provides streamlined access to capital for early-stage companies. We operate in conjunction with key investment and services partners to deploy a private-equity model that works for the unique economics and operational needs of companies ranging from seed stage to A-round. We facilitate the investment-seeking process through our affiliation with several regional and global angel networks (Stanford Angels, Keiretsu Forum, Bay Angels, Cannabis Investment Network, and others), syndication, direct investment, and a large zero-degree network of independent investors. Unlike with the noisy, inefficient pitch-show model, we curate both the investors and the deal flow, so that investors see only deals that we know will be of interest to them individually, and so entrepreneurs are presented only to investors that are likely to have a genuine interest, and who are actually investing. As with the 9-figure world of private equity, we only work with "inside" companies, i.e. those where we we can do deep diligence and have operational transparency in addition to the usual governance participation.
