MISSIONAct4Accountability (ACT4) harnesses the collective power and knowledge of the African Diaspora into tools that amplify our demand for accountability and transparency in our home countries. We are a diaspora-led organization with a strong commitment to reversing the brain drain into brain gain for Africans. We are inspired by a hope for a future that the people of Africa deserve. Our respect for individual contributions and voices ensure inclusivity in our approach.CORE ASSUMPTIONS1. ACCOUNTABILITY: We believe that accountability is essential for any healthy sustainable community. Representatives of institutional and governmental power are answerable to their communities for their decisions, actions, policies, and the resulting consequences.2. TRANSPARENCY: For positive social change to occur, there must be transparency in systems and representation of power if leaders seek to gain the trust of their citizens.3. ENGAGEMENT: Diaspora citizens share the responsibility of actively advocating for good governance in leadership and government, equitable community resources, and legislation that promote economic development, gender equity, and public safety.
