Architecture & Planning - Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark
ACT is a urban design practice in Copenhagen led by Rasmus B. Andersen, which specializes in the integration of physical activities within the built environment at all levels of design, from landscape, architecture and urban design to the design of public furniture. Through a process of evidence-based design, ACT possesses a critical understanding of the necessary design parameters and the process of selecting and planning for appropriate project activities. Drawing upon multiple sources of research, including our own, and experience with existing "active" projects, ACT works in tandem with municipalities and private clients to produce overall design solutions that provide quality results. Our experience is reflected in a diverse range of international and national projects, from strategically design proposals of entire sectors of cities, to the design of active public spaces, to mixed-use urban development's and transformation of post-industrial landscape for new active public uses. Our goal is to create socially interesting places and enhance the human experience, by creating urban plans and architecture that is committed and able to engage the public tissue of the city. The central task to ACT is the design of High-quality Active urban spaces.Specialties: Urban life, Urban Design and Public Space.ACT seek solutions that present new types of urbanity and that can reinvent the city.Throughout creative design and planning we offer solutions for city planning, city areas, city centers, city buildings and post-industrial-areas.
