Our organization is a public benefit non-profit located in San Diego, California (and soon to be national) that's driven towards building our community of active lifestyle nerds. We are over 6000 members strong and hold several dozen events each month. We host a wide range of events include board game nights, brewery tastings, kickball, frisbee, hiking, bar hopping, networking, etc. We aspire to form a community of nerds who are like-minded but want to do more than what the typical stereotypical nerd is known for. For a lot of nerds, it is hard to get out of the house and meet people. For a lot of people, it is hard for them to consider themselves a nerd. We bridge that gap and create an environment where everyone is welcomed to bask in their nerdiness without any judgement or shame. We build an environment where nerds can make friends, form bonds, and thrive in a community that accepts them for who they are.
