Acts of Faith is a Christian NGO based in Swaziland. It comes from an organization called Faith Bible School which was started in 1976 as a bible school providing theological training for church leaders from the African Independent Churches (AIC) who didn't have an opportunity to attend formal education. It was a mobile school and was started by the late Bishop Isaac Dlamini who was denied to study at the Nazarene and Evangelical bibles schools because he belonged to the AIC, he then studied through distant learning with a college based in South Africa. Through the years the church leaders were coming together at least twice a year to discuss issues affecting their communities, then 1986 they started a youth camp whereby the youth were also taught encouraging them how to live a holy life and to be responsible adults. It was in year 2000 during one of the youth camps whereby the issue of HIV and AIDS was discussed and by the end of the camp a team was formed to be trained on HIV and AIDS and then go teach in the churches. The church visits by the team was done as from 2001-2004 the youth was teaching through drama and lessons in the church, and the response by the churches was overwhelming therefore more programs were done such as Home based care, peer education, strengthening the couples fellowship with HIV lessons specifically for married couples and community mobilization e.t.c Through that Acts of Faith was formed and registered in 25th September 2008. It has employed five fulltime employees and has volunteers who are: 26 Caregivers who are providing home bases care to those sick at home especially those living with HIV and TB. 6 couples who are teaching couples on healthy marriages and promotion of couples testing. 100 youth who are peer educators .
