Ad Hoc Cooperative is a platform to speculate how design could change the way we think about the world. We engage with projects that help us rethink the future. In other words, it is a platform to speculate how space can change and better the quality of life for society. Throughout history, we have learned that there are always improvements to be made. This platform raises questions such as, how do we redesign subway cars to better serve the public? How can we redesign PPE to be more comfortable? What would a 24-hour city look like? Through these theoretical projects, we explore questions of architecture, urbanism, sustainability, theory, art, praxis, public space, and technology using the lens of design. Our proposals are spearheaded by a group of talented designers to rethink what a more beautiful, equitable, and the sustainable world would look like. We are continually looking for passionate designers to work with us on projects. Ad Hoc Cooperative is open to anyone who is dedicated to the profession; students with skills, recent grads with free time, or architects with ingenuity.
