Adama Group is the combination of Adama Participaoes e Investimentos Ltda, an agricultural real estate investment company and Katif Agronegocios Ltda, an agribusiness company producing oleaginous edible and non-edible grains. The group's vision is to capitalize on the growing demand for alternative energy sources to fossil fuels by cultivating mainly second generation bio-diesel crops along with the expected increase in agricultural land value in Brazil. A key element in Adama's cultivation strategy is to focus on crops that can be grown on marginal lands and that do not compete with food production lands and neither with food grade oils. Adama Group was established in Sao Paulo by a group of international seasoned financial investors and experts in agriculture to develop premium arable farmland in the northeastern part of Brazil.
