The International Triathlon Union's Duathlon World Championships will be in Adelaide from 14 to 18 October, 2015. 1,300 competitors from 35 nations will compete including elite professionals, age group competitors, paraduathlons and everyone can join in the 5km fun run. This event will be the biggest-ever duathlon in the southern hemisphere. The race course will have the City of Adelaide as its backdrop, with scenic views over the River Torrens, Adelaide Oval, and the Adelaide Hills. The race finish will be held at Elder Park, accommodating thousands of spectators. Adelaide is the "perfect host city" says Lonely Planet which named the South Australian capital as one of the top 10 must visit cities for 2014. With a population of slightly more than one million, Adelaide is the "20 minute city". The airport is only seven kilometres from Adelaide city. The Adelaide Hills and major beaches are less than half an hour away by car. That's what we call liveable! Compete. Spectate. Participate. Volunteer.
